The WALKshop Alla Scoperta dell’Arte is a fun experience all in Italian where you’ll be encouraged to speak and learn Italian in a real life context of an art gallery. Just like you were in Italy!
WHAT’S THE WALKSHOP “Alla Scoperta dell’Arte” (Discovering Art) EXACTLY?
This ‘walking workshop’ or WALKshop, is a fun, real-life experience all in Italian which will help you learn at least 2x more than a traditional class! You’ll be invited to look at wonderful piece of arts and use them as prompts to talk about a variety of things in Italian, while your teacher/guide will support you along the way. You’ll develop your listening and speaking skills and will be provided with a workbook as a guide to help you learn and use new vocabulary while enjoying beautiful art.
What level do I need to be to join this WALKshop?
All levels from lower-intermediate onwards are welcome!
Lower-intermediate corresponds to an A2 level of the Common European Framework of Languages. Here’s a detailed description of the A2 level, check it out if you’re not sure if this is your level.

WHO LEADS THIS WALKSHOP?
Erminia Pedata, aka “Ermy”, is a language coach (certified by Efficient Language Coaching and accredited by the International Coaching Federation) who helps lifelong learners with a free spirit learn the language they love and travel the world.
Born in the Italian city of Naples, Ermy speaks English, Spanish and French in addition to her native tongues, Italian and Neapolitan. She has been helping dozens of other learners all around the world to unleash their truest learning potential and become fluent in these languages too.
She’s been featured on a variety of language learning websites including: Parrot Time, Huggins International, The Joy of Languages and, the world’s most popular language learning blog, Fluent in 3 Months.
Currently Ermy lives in the pretty city of Chester in the UK and, she often travels back to Italy to visit her family when she’s not busy travelling somewhere else or dancing salsa! This WALKshop is for you if…
- You have at least a lower intermediate level of Italian, which is A2 or above. You can check the level description right here.
- You love art, visiting art galleries and art history
- You are willing to speak Italian with people you’ve just met
- You are willing to let go of your fear of making mistakes when speaking in Italian and just speak as much as you can
- You’re a kind person with a collaborative spirit willing to help other people.
- You have sense of humour and don’t take yourself too seriously
This WALKshop is not for you if…
- You are a beginner and have an Italian speaking level that is less than A2. You can check the level description right here.
- You find museums and art galleries boring
- You’re not very sociable or willing to meet new people
- You are not willing to speak Italian with people you’ve just met
- You have zero sense of humour
- You’re Voldermort! 😛
