Does any of these statements sound like you?

“I am too old to learn a language!”

“I struggle with remembering new words. Even basic ones!”

” I really don’t get grammar!”

Don’t worry! You’re not alone and the problem is not you!

When you start to learn a language, especially if you’re learning it for the first time, things seem to happen very slowly and you can’t seem to find the right strategies to help those new words (or grammar rules) stick.

But it doesn’t have to be like this!

In the workshop “How to learn a language effectively (and get over your fear of speaking it!)”, you’ll learn strategies to better understand and apply grammar, memorise and remember words faster, and finally speak your second language without being afraid of making mistakes.

Here is what we are going to cover:

  • How to memorise and remember new words in your second language in a way that works for you
  • How you can understand grammar and apply it when you need it
  • How to find the time to learn your second language and be consistent
  • How to become confident in speaking your second language without being afraid of making mistakes

If you are learning a language for the first time or you’d like to have a more efficient language learning process and learn your second language faster, in this workshop I’ll show you how!

Ermy is a great teacher. She plans her lessons in great detail and has a great way of making them fun by introducing ways to remember words and phrases either through games, role play or diagrams. She manages to cover a whole range of subjects and scenarios but is also able to build in flexibility and answer questions whenever they arise. She has energy and enthusiasm and clearly loves being able to tutor others. I have been on an Italian learners course at a college before but learnt so much more with Ermy. Her English is first class and her understanding of grammar and all its nuances makes learning another language so much more straightforward to understand and therefore remember. Best of all we had fun!

I really struggled with the various past tenses in Spanish. Thanks to Ermy I have a much better understanding and my confidence has sky rocketed. Ermy’s way of explaining the verb endings and the reasons why you would use the imperfect or preterite tense really made an impact on me. I now have so much more confidence and fluidity when speaking Spanish and have a much greater understanding of it all. Her calm and fun approach made me enjoy the lessons and learn so much. Thank you Ermy.
