“Can we do Italian lessons?”
That’s the question I get asked most.
And what I’m about to say about it will probably irritate some people, but it’s true…
If you just want to do Italian lessons once, twice, or more times a week, I’m not the right person for you.
Because I believe that in order to speak Italian you not only need to learn the language by “doing lessons” but you also need to…
Learn to cultivate discipline and consistency to help you retain and practice what you learn
Learn to use the learning strategies that serve you best
Learn to build your confidence in speaking and overcome any blocks that doesn’t let the language flow.
Learn to become an independent, self sufficient learner — so you know what to do when you get stuck.
Learn to keep up your motivation (and progress).
Learn to self correct (and become aware of your “favourite” mistakes without getting mad at yourself).
Learn to create an immersion environment that allows you to Italianise your life.
Learn to bring in creativity, fun and curiosity into the learning process so that you’re inspired to keep learning — because learning another language is a life long learning journey.
I believe that all of the elements and skills above are as important as learning the Italian language.
If those elements are missing what you are left with is just some language items that you won’t be able to use to communicate.
This is why i want to teach you Italian AND bring all those elements into your learning so that…
You get to find your Italian voice (aka learn to express yourself in Italian with ease)
I’d like to invite you to go on a learning journey that is more than just “lessons”.
I’d like to invite you to approach your Italian learning in a holistic way.
